Tradle Media Kit
Tradle is a clothing service for the new zero-waste, circular economy. To help manage our planet’s valuable and finite resources, Tradle supports change-making parents and local brands in their transition towards a less impactful fashion model where clothes are responsibly made, responsibly used and responsibly circulated.
The goal is to design a service that offers an easier way for everyone to access top-quality local products without having to own them. Collectively, we need to consume less and regenerate our planet by doing more good, not less bad.
As an alternative to rentals, where one pays for each use of the garment, with subscriptions, we want Tradle members to pay a low monthly fee for access to a library of clothes with the option to switch them whenever you want. Tradle simplifies the circulation, enhances the longevity and shares the responsibility with members and brand partners for the clothe's entire lifecycle.
Mission: To support all parents leading Canada's transition towards a regenerative, circular economy.
Vision: A member-owned, circular economy platform to fairly, collaboratively and responsibly manage our planet's finite and shared resources.
In October 2019, Tradle soft-launched their 'clothes-as-a-service' business model to support parents and local brands begin the important transition towards a zero-waste, circular economy.
In May 2020, Tradle launched their clothing Trade-In + Personal Shopper campaign to help make the service affordable and accessible for all parents while making it easy to circulate unwanted, outgrown clothes to other families.
